Strengthening Multi-Modal Logistics with Industry Leaders from Vietnam

Singapore, Supply Chain City – 12 March 2025 – Dr Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, and Dr Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, hosted a high-level delegation of industry leaders from Vietnam, including Dr Nguyen Thanh Hung, Chairman of Sovico Group and Board Member of VietJet, Ms Vu Thuy Anh, CFO of Galaxy Innovation Hub, and Mr Richard Mark Leech, Deputy CEO of Phu Long Holdings.

The discussions explored opportunities for collaboration to strengthen multi-modal logistics by leveraging Vietnam’s well-established aviation connectivity alongside YCH’s extensive regional supply chain network. As Vietnam continues to expand its airport infrastructure to support trade and logistics, there is significant potential to optimise cargo flows and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

With Vietnam SuperPort™’s offsite airport cargo terminal supporting air freight operations, both sides examined how greater cooperation could create synergies in multi-modal transport. By linking air, road, and rail networks, logistics operations can become more seamless, reducing transit times, and strengthening trade corridors.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing logistics capabilities and exploring partnerships that drive connectivity, resilience, and efficiency in regional supply chains. As Vietnam strengthens its role as a key logistics hub in ASEAN, closer cooperation between aviation and logistics stakeholders will play a crucial role in enabling businesses to navigate evolving trade demands.
