HeBei Province, China, 5 September 2024 – YCH Group, Southeast Asia’s leading supply chain management company, visited Sunhola Group, one of North China’s largest wholesale markets for fruits, frozen food, and agricultural produce. The visit was focused on exploring strategic collaborations aimed at improving the efficiency of food trade between ASEAN and China. The delegation, led by YCH Group’s Executive Chairman, Dr Robert Yap, met with Mr Mi Yalin, Founder and Chairman of Sunhola Group, at their headquarters in Gao Bei Dian, HeBei Province.
As part of the visit, YCH was given a tour of Sunhola's wholesale market and fruit processing facilities, which serve more than 8,000 traders in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. This tour provided valuable insights into Sunhola’s extensive operations and their crucial role in supporting the region’s food trade network.
Following the tour, Dr Yap provided an overview of YCH Group, showcasing the company’s cutting-edge technologies. These include autonomous warehousing systems and real-time inventory tracking powered by advanced data analytics. Together, these innovations are designed to optimise logistics, enhance operational efficiency, and provide real-time insights for more informed decision-making across the entire supply chain.
Dr Yap went on to elaborate on the SGConnect initiative, which is driven by the hub-to-hub connectivity of YCH’s SuperPorts. This initiative aims to streamline regional supply chains by reducing transit times, increasing productivity, and improving visibility along ASEAN-China trade routes. Furthermore, he highlighted the strategic importance of YCH’s Vietnam SuperPort, which offers multimodal connections via road, rail, air, and sea. Its links to China’s Yunnan province and Kunming city, extending through Hanoi to Hai Phong international port, position it as a critical logistics gateway. For Sunhola Group, this enhanced connectivity offers faster access to ASEAN markets, while significantly improving distribution capabilities.
As the discussions progressed, both YCH and Sunhola Group identified several promising opportunities for collaboration. They expressed a shared commitment to further exploring these initiatives, with the goal of developing a more efficient and resilient supply chain to support the growing trade between ASEAN and China.
