Focus on Asia Pacific growth gets YCH best "Asian 3PL of the Year" award
- 4TH consecutive win affirms industry recognition for YCH's Supply Chain Excellence

Hong Kong, 25 November 2010 - Leading Singapore-based logistics and supply chain management company YCH Group has been named 'Asian 3PL of the Year' at the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards for the 4th consecutive year since the inauguration of the awards in 2007. YCH has successfully carved a niche in the region by focusing on providing supply chain excellence in APAC by providing unique value-added services to meet the differing demands of customers in each country.

With a sound understanding of the regional landscape including the business environment, logistics terrains, networks and infrastructure, YCH has developed pioneering supply chain solutions tailored to match the various specific needs. For instance, in Chengdu China, YCH is developing a sustainable supply chain framework to manage rising consumption demand for safe, hygienic convenience foods and to counter the shortage of internationally-compliant warehouses and reefer trucks in the region's cold chain development. While in ASEAN and India, priority has been given to easing complex last mile distribution networks in densely populated or less accessible areas. In Korea, customized SCM solutions and trade lanes have been targeted to facilitate Korean exporters and conglomerates to expand their reach to the rest of the rapidly developing continent.

Stringent criteria of the award covered a wide range of aspects ranging from size and scale of network, IT know-how and systems, level of customer service, approach to sustainability & CSR issues, security and risk management capabilities, ability to handle specialized shipments and launch/upgrade of new products and services on an ongoing basis to match market demand. In particular, companies that demonstrated deep understanding and collaboration with customers in their client partnering track record, and high level of local knowledge in developing Asian markets, were ranked the most favorably.

"We are heartened to win this award four years in a row as it is an endorsement from fellow industry players and it showcases our determination to be the best supply chain solutions provider in Asia. Our aggressive expansion during the downturn last year paid off and we are scaling for greater growth with the recovering economy, by giving our customers world class supply chain solutions to power their growth across Asia," said Dr. Robert Yap, Chairman and CEO, YCH Group.

"Asia is at a crucial point in its growth today. Its promising future depends on a multitude of manufacturers, suppliers, traders, shippers and supply chain companies that can cleverly harness the peculiarities of the continent and introduce world-class best practices. YCH's win of the Asian 3PL of the Year Award demonstrates its continued commitment to and focus on supply chain excellence in Asia and its key role in developing and shaping Asia's supply chain industry," said Mr. Turloch Mooney, Managing Editor of Supply Chain Asia Magazine and Chair of the Judging Panel for the Supply Chain Asia Logistics Awards 2010.

Riding on the recent global economic growth, YCH Group extended its regional footprint by expanding operations in Chennai, India with a 525,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility and announced a key partnership with Mary Kay China to enter into the beauty care industry allowing customers to tap on the China's growing consumer luxury market with its award-winning sophisticated SCM solutions. The 465, 000 square feet YCH DistriPark located within the Lingang Logistics Park of Shanghai's famous Yangshan Free Port was also officially opened last month to offer unrivalled value to brand owners and manufacturers requiring the convenience of integrating multiple supply chain services and value-added activities such as manufacturing, assembly, storage and export processing within a single location.

Further affirming YCH's strength in Asia, this regional industry award comes back to back after the Group's win of the "Most Admired Large Enterprise" for Innovation in the recent Asean Business Awards 2010.
