YCH Group shows intention to invest in infrastructure connectivity in Cambodia

Dr. Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, expressed his intention to invest in connectivity infrastructure, including the transportation and logistics sectors.

In a meeting with Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on November 28, 2024, the executive chairman of YCH Group respectfully briefed the premier on the company’s business, which operates in 16 countries and has excellence in transportation and logistics, which has made the company a leading player in the supply chain for the Asian region.

The company’s chairman also expressed great interest in Cambodia, which has achieved high and sustainable economic growth. The company saw many opportunities and potential in Cambodia, and it expressed its intention to invest in connectivity infrastructure, including the transportation and logistics sectors.

In response, the prime minister expressed his pleasure at the companies’ interest in exploring investment opportunities in Cambodia in the connectivity infrastructure sector. The premier highlighted the importance of this sector in ensuring Cambodia’s competitiveness both in the region and globally.

In this regard, the Royal Government of Cambodia has paid great attention to building connectivity infrastructure to support the transport and logistics sector, including international airports, deep-water ports, expressways, improving the quality of railways, and many other infrastructures, bridges, and roads.

Premier Hun Manet also emphasised that while attracting new investors to Cambodia, the Royal Government always prioritises ensuring a conducive environment, competitiveness, growth, and success for the private sector operating, doing business, and investing in Cambodia.

At the same time, the President also encouraged companies to continue discussing in more detail and comprehensively with relevant ministries and institutions of the Royal Government to prepare their future business plans.
