ConnectGov Leader Summit @ Bhutan

Held in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, the inaugural ConnectGov Leader Summit, organised by the CIO Academy Asia deep dived into challenges and issues arising from the next wave of disruption. Over the four days summit, Dr Robert Yap shared his views on how both the public and private sectors have to work together to tackle the complex and enormous challenge of harnessing technology to add value to individuals, communities and organizations.

The 13th ASEAN Leadership Forum @ Lao PDR

The 13th ASEAN Leadership Forum took place on the first week of August in Vientiane, Laos. Held at the Don Chang Palace Hotel, the theme for the forum this year was ‘Enhancing Opportunities and Shared Prosperity” and Dr Robert Yap discussed about the ASEAN 2025 blueprint and future directions for ASEAN in the next 10 years, as well as critical issues and strategic challenges moving ahead.

Dr Robert Yap also shared pointers on how businesses in the region can leverage enhanced opportunities and shared prosperity, as well as how the future of the ASEAN is set to look—a peaceful and integrated region.

ABIS 2016 @ Laos PDR

The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) is a platform to engage with business leaders, entrepreneurs and key decision makers in ASEAN. The theme of the conference this year, “ASEAN Economic Community: Turning Vision into Reality”, explored global megatrends and their impact on the AEC. Dr Robert Yap spoke on the importance of embracing new trends in ASEAN, and leveraging on them to turn weaknesses into strengths.
