On 17-18 November, chief executive leadership organisation Young President Organisation (YPO), hosted its third annual Insights ASEAN Summit (IAS) in Singapore. Dr Robert Yap was a speaker on the 7th panel discussion “World Class Leadership: Navigating Through Complexity and Volatility”.

The summit brings YPO members together with global innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities within South East Asia. This year’s theme was “Reshuffling the Deck,” focusing on exploring motivations behind change and the need for agility, adaptability and foresight as businesses confront an uncertain business environment.

Speaking alongside fellow thought leaders, Dr Robert Yap discussed the best practices of successful leaders managing in a tumultuous business environment. He also touched on the challenges of decision-making when short term imperatives clash with delivering longer term growth and profitability objectives, and how to learn from successful leaders on new approaches to strategy development and execution in times of continuous change.
