The fourth iteration of the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) Award Ceremony was held on 28 August 2015. Graced by Minister for Education Mr Heng Swee Keat as the Guest-of-Honour, a total of 92 students were the Singapore-Industry Scholarship. Mr Tay Ee Learn, Vice President of Global Operations for YCH Group, was at the event to present the award to Mr Gabriel Lim En Hao, a SgIS scholar sponsored by the company.

The SgIS endeavors to develop a strong core of Singaporeans to anchor strategic sectors critical for Singapore’s development. In line with the SkillsFuture initiative’s aim of skills mastery, recipients of the SgIS will develop skills and gain professional experience with their sponsoring organizations through the SgIS Scholars’ Development and Engagement Programme, enabling them to obtain a broader perspective that will assist in their transition into the workforce as future leaders of key industry sectors of Singapore.
